Getting organized/ Aufräumen

yikes!!!

I am lost in our new apartment. It still looks chaotic in many areas. This is mainly because I am working and had both girls at home until end of August. And because we have less storage and living space than we had in the States.

Now that the girls are in school I have a little more time - good thing I am mostly working from home. 

To make this happen, I signed up for an online organizing class: Organizing 101 recommended by my fellow blogger Benita - whose judgment I really trust in this area.

Tomorrow the class is starting for 6 weeks with one weekly lesson released on Tuesdays. There is still time to sign up, if you want to join in. I can't wait and will keep you posted about my efforts, successes or struggles.

A first step I have already taken - I ordered tons of storage units at Ikea (Pax, Besta, Billy and Ivar), that will all be delivered and assembled on Thursday. Hope this will make it easier.

Ich bin verloren in unserer neuen Wohnung. Es ist immer noch so chaotisch hier. Der Hauptgrund dafür ist, dass ich arbeite und bis Ende August auch noch beide Kinder zuhause hatte. Und natürlich, weil wir weniger Stauraum und Wohnfläche haben als in den USA.

Jetzt wo die Mädchen in der Schule sind, habe ich endlich ein bisschen mehr Zeit. Wie gut, dass ich hauptsächlich von zuhause arbeite. Damit es auch was wird, habe ich mich gerade zu einem online Workshop angemeldet: Organizing 101 empfohlen von Bloggerin Benita, der ich auf diesem Gebiet sehr vertraue.

Morgen geht es los - 6 Wochen lang jede Woche dienstags gibt es eine neue Einheit. Man kann sich immer noch anmelden - falls jemand mitmachen möchte. Ich halte Euch auf dem Laufenden über meine Anstrengungen, Erfolge und Rückschläge.

Einen ersten Schritt zur Ordnung habe ich schon getan und massenhaft Aufbewahrungsmöbel bei Ikea bestellt (Pax, Besta, Billy und Ivar). Geliefert und zusammengebaut wird diesen Donnerstag. Ich hoffe, dass wird schon mal was bringen.

At least the kitchen table is clutter free - I want to paint it though. What do you think - White or Grey?

Wenigstens der Küchentisch ist ordentlich. Ich will ihn streichen. Was meint Ihr - weiss oder grau?
