When we moved to California 7 years ago I fell in love with Victorian houses right away. I wanted to live in one soo badly. We almost rented one in San Jose. But the neighborhood was so shady that we decided against it in the end. Unfortunately most Victorian houses are very dark from the inside and have weird floor plans. Not really suited for the lifestyle of a young family. Nevertheless I love the facades - especially when they are not overloaded with hundreds of different colors. Here are some for you to enjoy.

Als wir vor 7 jahren nach Kalifornien umgezogen sind, habe ich mich gleich in viktorianische Haeuser verliebt. Ich haette so gerne in einem gelebt. Wir haben sogar einmal fast eins in San Jose gemietet, uns dann aber doch wegen der gammeligen Nachbarschaft dagegen entschieden. Leider sind viele viktorianische Haeuser von innen ziemlich dunkel und haben einen merkwuerdigen Schnitt. Nicht wirklich geeignet fuer eine junge Familie.
Trotzdem liebe ich ihre Fassaden, vor allem wenn sie nicht so kakelig bunt sondern dezent gestaltet sind. Hier sind einige fuer Euch zum Bestaunen.
